about

This EP brings "The Parish" into more of a traditional, organic route--basing song structures around live instruments rather than a sample or a synth-line

The first half of the EP finding it's roots in the guitar where the second half is more piano driven.

Lyrically it explores feelings of brokenness, intimacy, romance, reconciliation, liberty, loneliness, and self-honesty.

See "In The Forest" and "Waterfield" for visual accompaniment.

credits

released 26 July 2011
This record is for Tash King and Amy Engel for supporting "Haselnus" when it was still a rough demo. For Josh Tuppen who inspired me to write "Into the Forest". And for Bodenseehof for being the source of the subject manner.
